What is everyday life like in Cuba nowadays?

Since the sixties, goods have been rationed and people have been using coupons in order to buy goods. There’s been a huge black market; economic abuse has thrived and the ‘grey economy’ has flourished. Amongst those who are well-off there are members of the authorities, supporters and participants of Castro’s revolution, famous artists and sportsmen, army officials, small private business owners, and those with relatives in Miami. The situation is full of paradoxes.
